The Blessing of the Garden

The UJIMA SUSTAINABILITY FARM PROJECT’S Ceremonial Blessing was held Saturday, March 27, 2021. In collaboration with the Males Place, Inc., the project includes the construction and installation of 30 raised garden beds and a 30 X 60 greenhouse (TBD). The initiative offers the youth in the program the opportunity to learn skills in growing and preparing healthy food. The production of fresh local produce in the heart of the Black Community will provide access to other food insecure programs in the greater Charlotte community. Below are some photos from the event. The raised garden beds will be located in the area behind the grass station.
