The Presbyterian Men’s Organization (Men’s Council) continues to be steeped in the heritage and history of its predecessors. This long standing group of the church flourishes today due to the dedication of its leadership and those that constitute its body.
This is an organization within the Presbytery of Charlotte, the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, the National Presbyterian Men’s Ministry, and the Presbyterian Church (USA).
The purposes and objectives are clearly stated in its by-laws; Presbyterian Men provides, in each area of life, tools for Christian discipleship, avenues for vital fellowship, and opportunities for transforming mission, all under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. All men who are confirmed members of the Presbyterian Church (USA) are eligible to be members of Presbyterian Men. Members shall commit themselves to the purposes and objectives of Presbyterian Men.
The annual calendar for PM has grown over the years. We meet monthly for breakfast to engage in fellowship and be energized by various and significant speakers. There are also two well coordinated fundraising events (Men’s Council Barbecue and Fish Fry) with proceeds being utilized by the Edward B. Newberry Scholarship Fund. We also participate in and support the local, Synod, and National Conferences, as well as, our Annual Men’s Day. We encourage all men to become actively involved as true disciples through Presbyterian Men.
